Join leading artist Lucy Vader for a two day practical painting workshop that looks at the landscape and its inhabitants.
Dates: Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24 September 2017
Tutor: Lucy Vader
Time: 10.00am-3.00pm each day
Level: Beginners through to Advanced
Location: Packsaddle Studio
Artist Lucy Vader will instruct workshop participants on methods to lay down and free up their approach to colour as they go out to absorb the local scenery and work in the studio to create a landscape scene that depicts the vast skies, distant horizons and hill and tree forms as well as the animals they see.
Lucy Vader is a graduate of National Art School, and has been exhibited in the Sulman Prize (2011), the Mosman Art Prize (2012), the Salon des Refuses (2014), and has participated in Sculpture by the Sea three times in both Sydney and Perth. Vader exhibits with Michael Reid Gallery in Sydney, Berlin, and Murrurundi, and draws on the rural Australian landscape and history as her source of inspiration. Her exhibition Serenades to the Sky at NERAM in April 2017 was a great success.
