The Perfect Art Teaching Resource!

The New England Regional Art Museum has recently published an Education Kit for art and primary teachers focusing on works in the Howard Hinton, Chandler Coventry and NERAM Collections.

The Kit contains information sheets based on eleven colour images, and related prints and drawings spanning 97 years of Australian art.

Written for teachers, each sheet has been designed to give an insight into the artwork, artist and cultural and artistic influences relevant to the syllabus outlines for Kindergarten - Year 6, Years 7 - 10 and Years 11 - 12.

This information is accompanied by relevant classroom activities for each year group.

The sheets are 27 x 38 cm with one side a full colour image, and are therefore perfect for use in the classroom as a teaching resource, or as research material for students. They are presented in a A3 size folder.

This kit contains an overview sheet outlining NERAM facilities and education and eleven colour sheets based on the following images:

  1. Tom Roberts Mosman's Bay, 1894
  2. Elioth Gruner The Beach, 1918
  3. Roy de Maistre Boat Harbour, 1925
  4. Ethel Spowers School is Out, 1936
