Tours of the storage racks containing the Collections, conducted by a
professional member of staff, are available by prior arrangement. Bookings are essential. The New England Regional Art Museum (NERAM) is a focal point for cultural life in the New England region and home to more than 5,000 works of art.
NERAM is well known for the Howard Hinton Collection, a prestigious collection of nineteenth and twentieth century Australian art.The Chandler Coventry collection, once described as one of the most important collections of
contemporary Australian art, with its focus on expressionist and abstract painters and some figurative artists, complements the Howard Hinton Collection. 
The NERAM Collection is far from the traditional tastes of Howard Hinton and includes weird and wonderful works to continue the story of art in Australia. The sheer size of these collections means that it is not possible to exhibit them all at any one time and most works are stored in our Storeroom.
