Storeroom tour

NERAM is home to more than 5,000 works of art which means that it is not possible to exhibit all the artworks at once.

You can, however, go Behind-the-Scenes on a guided tour of the storeroom and explore the breadth of our nationally significant collections.

  • The Howard Hinton Collection, offering a comprehensive survey of Australian art from the 1880s to the 1940s that is unmatched  in regional Australia.
  • The Chandler Coventry Collection, one of the nation’s most important collections of 1960s and 1970s Australian art.
  • The NERAM Collection, continuing the story of Australian art to the present day with works by major contemporary artists.

Come and discover myriad important works by the Lindsay family, Suzanne Archer, Ralph Balson, Peter Booth, Gunter Christmann, Adrian Feint, Rosalie Gascoigne, James Gleeson, Elioth Gruner, Euan Macleod, Max Miller, Arthur Murch, David Rankin, Tom Roberts, Arthur Streeton, Michael Taylor, Aida Tomescu, Tony Tuckson, David Voigt, Dick Watkins, Brett Whiteley and Salvatore Zofrea, among others.

NERAM’s guided Storeroom Tours are a unique and rare opportunity for the public to gain access to and enjoy these hidden treasures.
