Glass on Glass Mosaic Workshop

August 20 @ 9:30 am - August 21 @ 3:30 pm

$395
Stained glass pieces arranged into scene of flowers in a garden, against blue background.

Treat yourself and come along to this popular glass-on-glass mosaic workshop with glass artist Chris Fahey. Enjoy a break from the routine, relax, have fun and learn a new skill.

You will learn all about the “glass on glass” technique to create your very own mosaic masterpiece; all levels catered for, no mosaic/glass working experience necessary.

The aim is for each participant to complete their very own “Field of Flowers”, be it wildflowers, a cottage garden, a native garden, a tropical garden or even an abstract garden, the choice is yours. The workshop will facilitate the transformation of your glass substrate into a unique work of art.

Everything needed to complete your artwork will be provided – including all materials – glass, embellishments, glues and grouts, use of all tools needed to cut and shape glass.

Register now to secure your place! Please read on to view information about materials.

Date |  Saturday 20th and Sunday 21 August 2022 (this is a 2 day workshop)

Time | Saturday 9:30am til 4pm, Sunday 9:30am til 3.30pm

Lunch | We will be working indoors, the studio has kitchen facilities, so we can make coffee as required . You can bring your own lunch if you wish or purchase from the on-site cafe; please be advised that the cafe can get quite busy at lunch so allocate your time wisely.

Bookings are essential.

Please note:

  • Materials supplied will include a tempered glass substrate (400x300mm), and a glass pack in a range of beautiful colours sufficient to complete one artwork. (Leftover glass remains the property of Chris Fahey Glass Art) Plus all glues, brushes etc
  • Additional embellishments and treasures to enhance your project will be supplied to be shared amongst the group
  • Shared tools for cutting and shaping glass and instruction and demonstration on their use

I’ve made them as examples of what can be achieved in a two day workshop
