SUMMARY:Mini Stories | Story Stones Adventure
DESCRIPTION:These mini-stories capture a moment in time—seen through the eyes of people\, animals\, and even everyday objects. The participants of our recent family workshop led by Trish Donald\, created stories from short prompts then painted colourful little masterpieces on rocks for everyone to discover! \nPrompt: A toy left at a playground. \nIt was a wind-up toy left at the park. It said nothing when it was wound up because it was sad. But\, Bronte found the toy bird and gave it a new home. Bird was happy and said “hurray!”   ~ Bronte\, 5 years old \n \nPrompt: Soccer! \nSoccer is played all over the world\, by little children\, big children\, adults and professionals. It is like a lingua-franca\, allowing people from different languages and cultures to have fun and make friends with each other.  ~ Thomas\, young at heart years old \n \nPrompt: A cloud looks down at the ground and says… \nA cloud looks down at the ground and says “I wish I could walk on the beach! He does!! And gets crashed by waves then became a pro surfer.  ~  Nash\, 11 years old \n \nPrompt: Lightening \nLightening hit the building. It was broken. The people were safe.  ~ Bill\, 8 years old \n \nPrompt: Bird. \nThe bird was best friends with Bob the lizard. They would do everything together like swim\, relax in the sun and climb trees. The bird was so happy to have a friend like Bob. We all need a friend like Bob.  ~ Lisa\, young at heart years old \n \nPrompt: A small creature \nA Christmas beetle crawled on a tree.  ~  Bill\, 8 years old \n \nPrompt: Car \nA van explodes with planets around it. Earth hit the van. It had invisible wings.  ~  Toby\, 5 years old \n  \nPrompt: Popcorn \nMary was so excited for her party. She had cupcakes\, fairy bread\, fruit and popcorn. She had all the food ready for her friends to come over\, but\, it was time to heat the popcorn. Mary put the popcorn bag in the microwave\, she could hear pop\, pop\, pop\, pop\, pop! It was smelling yummy! Then all of a sudden – BOOM! There was popcorn everywhere all over Mary’s kitchen\, her lounge and TV. She had to walk through popcorn like water.  It turned out Mary was having a popcorn party. ~  Lisa\, young at heart years old \n \nPrompt: Puppy. \nA puppy climbs up a rainbow and they called him Jack\, like Jack and the Beanstalk\, and he comes down and then an owner finds him and they both went up another rainbow.  ~  Nash\, 11 years old \n \nPrompt: A childhood memory \nEvery Easter\, we spent our holidays with my cousins. On Easter morning\, we would search for chocolate eggs hidden in the garden. I was good at finding the blue and purple eggs because they stand out. I occasionally found the green ones – the hardest colour to find!  ~ Thomas\, young at heart years old \n \nPrompt: A fun game or hobby. \nI am good at Memory because Santa gave it to me. ~  Bronte\, 5 years old \n \nPrompt: The Moominhouse. \nFrom my favourite children’s story books. Everyone is welcome in the Moominhouse!  ~ Thomas\, young at heart years old \n \n  \n
