Term 4 2021 Art Classes | Adventures in Art with Del Bernett (Thursday)

October 7 @ 4:00 pm - December 2 @ 5:15 pm

$220

In light of current circumstances created by COVID-19 and changing government regulations, please be aware that all workshops and programs are subject to change.

ADVENTURES in ART is a stimulating weekly class for kids aged 8 and up, who enjoy making art.

Kids are encouraged to express their creativity in an individual way as they try new possibilities in drawing and painting, printmaking and sculpture. Some exhibition visits are also included – these often provide inspiration for a particular way of working.

In the typical 9 week term, 7 weeks will be spent on a variety of painting and drawing lessons, using different materials to give a wide variety of experiences. Some examples of materials are acrylic paint used both thick and thin, graphite pencils and sticks, charcoal, crayons, oil and dry pastels, black ink, coloured ink and other more unusual media. The other 2 weeks of term are usually spent on printmaking or sculpture.

All materials are provided.

Her teaching experience with NERAM started with Education Officer from 2004-2007, when she worked with all ages from preschool to adults. In 2007 she commenced after-school art classes for children, and also Saturday classes for adults. She is passionate about helping both adults and children to learn about art, and to enjoy the experience of creating their own works. A variety of interesting art activities are offered to students in her classes, as they follow a program which develops practical skills with different art materials, along with knowledge about colour, composition and design.
