April 21 @ 10:00 am - June 23 @ 3:00 pm$255 – $280
This art class is open to all skill levels and welcomes newcomers.
While we look at the basics of art such as line, colour, perspective etc., we also have fun experimenting with different techniques such as sgraffito, frottage, collage, paint transfer, unusual textures, and impasto effects.
I can help newcomers find their own direction; and I regularly do demonstrations and set up a still life on occasions for those who are interested.
The class is quite casual, with many of the ongoing students working on their own projects, taking guidance as needed.

Once bookings close, we are unable to offer refunds.
If the class does not proceed, you will be refunded any cash amount and credited the NSW Discover Voucher value.
Maximum 18 students.
Materials required for class: Bring any reference material that inspires you, whether photographic, or of other artwork. It’s a good way to get started. I have on display art books for referencing also.
If you like to draw bring Cartridge paper (A3 or A4 size), pencils in a range of hardnesses (but more in the soft range), rubbers, crayons, coloured pencils and any other materials that you like to work with.
For painting, acrylic paint is the most practical (some people are using oils or watercolours). You will also need brushes, canvas or paper. Heavier papers are better to paint on, such as 180gsm or higher. I like the medium or rough textured paper. Cheaper paper is OK for experimentation.
If you are unsure of the direction you want to take, just turn up on the first day and I can help you to determine what you need. I will have some materials that you can work with on the day.
