February 28 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm$150
Julie McCarthy runs Papers Past, a local paper conservation studio, and has been conserving and creating books and custom boxes for years. She is collaborating with Friends of NERAM to present a series of workshops on bookbinding for beginners.
In this first workshop, participants will learn some basic bookbinding techniques that will enable them to create a journal, simple album, or sketch book. The A4 sized volume will be filled with drawing paper (alternatively participants may bring their own pastel and/or watercolour papers if they wish). The album is hardcover with metal screws to allow pages to be changed/removed as required.
Introductory binding level, for ages 16 and up
A minimum of 10 participants is required for the class to run and a maximum of 15, book quick to ensure you get your spot.
Bookings Essential: Book Here or call Julie on 0487 177 864
The Friends of NERAM Committee is delighted to be sponsoring this workshop and we look forward to working with Julie in the future offering more of her workshops.
