Conceptual Portrait Photography

Join Mike Terry for a 4-part short course to produce a researched and executed portrait or portrait series. The course is meant to be as applied and hands-on as possible with the goal of refining the project over the duration for a finished project at the end.
Session 1 | Elements of strong portraiture, composition, lighting, etc. the portrait series and photo essay. Options in cameras and methods.
Session 2 | Lighting. Using natural light, colour temperature, artificial light. Brainstorming a project.
Session 3 | Refining the project, executing the project, w/ feedback of progress.
Session 4 | Feedback rounds on final outputs (show & tell)
Who: Those who have an existing practice with photography and basic understanding of their camera, or other artists who are wanting to use photography in their practice.
