A school holiday tech adventure at NERAM
Have you ever wondered how your phone works? Or how robots know what to do? These school holidays you can find out in this exciting hands-on workshop combining art, technology and coding!
Start your visit with a guided tour of the incredible Experimenta exhibition, where art meets science and technology in surprising ways.
Then join UNE Discovery for an interactive coding session where you’ll become a robot programmer!
You’ll get to:
- Program robots to complete challenges
- Learn how coding breaks big problems into small steps
- Send robots on missions to complete challenges
- Explore Mars and other environments
- Discover how robots help humans do difficult or dangerous jobs
- Use imagination and role-play to learn how humans communicate with robots
Working in teams, you’ll use BeeBots to solve fun challenges and discover how robots help humans explore dangerous or hard-to-reach places.
No coding experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to have a go!
Perfect for curious kids who love technology, problem-solving and teamwork.
Date: Tuesday 14 April
Session 1: 10:30am – 11:45am
Session 2: 12:00pm – 1:15pm
Cost: $15 per participant

- All bookings for events, art classes and workshops require payment in full at the time of booking
- A minimum number of 10 students required for workshop to proceed, please book before 10am Friday 10th April 2026
- Please be aware that once bookings close, we are unable to offer a refund
- If the workshop does not proceed, you will be refunded any cash amount
- NERAM events have a limited capacity and use a ticketing system. Bookings are essential
- Student contact details may be passed on to facilitators for communication purposes
