Description of Activity
NERAM invites secondary school students to view this exhibition and investigate their favorite piece further. The arts educator will prompt students to look into how the artist created this particular work and what meaning or message the artist is trying to communicate to the audience. Students are invited to write a blurb about this chosen piece to be posted over the course of the exhibition through NERAM’s social media channels. The student and school shall be credited for their post.
Furthermore, students are asked to continue a research project back at school where by they curate their own personal collection without a budget. Students will be prompted to understand the commercial world of art. This activity is inspired by Beautiful Bizarre’s ‘curators wishlist’ whereby curators are asked to give the audience their top 8 works that are in their wishlist. All work MUST be for sale at the time.
