Linocut masterclass with Rew Hanks

Enjoy an afternoon with Rew Hanks who will discuss his work practice and share knowledge of lino printing processes.

Rew Hanks is a Sydney-based printmaker whose linocuts and graphic works have been widely exhibited across Australia and internationally.

This workshop is not suitable for beginners, it is for people with previous experience in linocut printing who want to extend their skills.

Try out techniques and learn tips including:

Making marks for different purposes/output

Which tools to use for different effects

Designing textures

Getting clean Blacks and whites

Inking up fine lines and marks

Materials to bring with you:

Small sample lino plate (eg:15x15cm) to try all these skills on the day

Lino cutting tools

Paper to print on

Apron and closed shoes

(Inks, inking stations, rollers and cleaning products will be available in the studio to use)

Date: 1pm – 4pm Saturday October 24th

Location: Packsaddle Studio NERAM

Cost: General price $100, Friends of NERAM/Member price $90
