Artists in the Archibald paint their subjects from a number of sittings. This is called ‘painted from life’. We can’t do that in the studio, but you can have fun drawing and painting from a photo. What makes that face in your photo different to other faces? Why did you choose your subject (person)? How do you draw their nose sticking out from their face?
